Best Mobile Phones

Many people become very frustrated when it comes to replacing their mobile phone with all the models on offer such as Nokia or O2 series; new functions and services are being added on a regular basis. There is much misinformation out there, which needs to be looked at before buying a cellular or smart phone; this article offers some tips on how to select the best mobile phones.

Battery life is always an issue and even though they last longer (and are smaller), they have much more to do, so always leaving your phone until it is almost drained of power can cause problems. Leaving the recharging to last minute like this, over an extended period means the battery will need to be replaced earlier than it needs to be, and these mobile phone batteries are quite expensive. Some of smart phones come with wifi. You can disable it for longer battery usage.

The back light is the second biggest power drain of any top cell phone battery on the list but this can be either turned off or use the auto back light off function if your phone is supplied with one. Actually talking on the phone uses the most power when it is being operated as it is being used as a transmitter so reduce the length of calls and turn it off if you find yourself in an area with poor reception as the cell phone battery will drain itself trying to find a signal. When ever you use your cell phone; talking, playing games, listening to music, taking picture with the flash or surfing the Internet, it will drain the battery faster so limit these activities otherwise you may not be able to make that urgent call you need.

You will often find that wallpapers, ring tones and images that are downloaded automatically will have a charge even though this is not mentioned at the start so be aware. Not all of these slick stuff are free. For parents buying a phone for their child, most companies will now allow them to disable this download function so only the mother or father has control over it via a password feature that the child cannot override.

The two man types of plans for cell phone users are prepaid and a monthly contract which can run for one or two years but which option you decide upon will depend on how often you intend to use it. The telco provider charges different price and rates for each type of contract. So, please look at the plan carefully but as a general rule the more often you use the phone the more sensible a long term contract will be. Some features like tri-band or quad-band means they can be used in Europe and Asia but these may only be available with phones that are part of a long term agreement so look out for best value deal that will be of benefit to you.

Pay attention to any hidden charges like penalties for early termination of the contract as some contracts can be costly to get out of. It is now common for people with long term contracts to have an insurance warranty included which will replace their phone if it is damaged, lost or stolen. This is more common than people think and the last thing you want is to be stuck with the bill for replacement.

Never buy a cheap phone as it is always lack of support and part. It is always a good idea to buy the best mobile phones from a company you know and trust is reliable. Even if you are buying online there is no reason to accept a poor service or a phone that you will have problems getting accessories for because it is an old model. You can use the Internet for comparison between various models or best deals. Always check the reviews on mobile phones before you pay. No phone is the best in the world. Before you select all in one model, ask yourself if you need those features. It all depends on what you really need it for.
